I thought about it one day, 'Why is insects' blood green?' Today, I found out why. I discovered that mosquitoes have red blood.
The reason why insects' blood is green is that they have carotenoid, tetrapyrrole, pteridine, and quinone. These four substances can be seen in our eyes as blue, green, and yellow, giving insects green blood. Additionally, mosquitoes have blood like humans.
If humans had carotenoid, tetrapyrrole, pteridine, and quinone, humans would have green blood like insects.
So, the reason why insects' blood is green is due to the four pigments in the insects' bodies.
