Why France don't put on umbrella?

I saw a documentary about France and noticed that people in France don't use umbrellas. Why don't the French people use umbrellas?

The first reason is related to the U.K. The U.K is a country where it rains a lot. In French history, I discovered that France did not have good relations with the U.K, which is why they didn't use umbrellas.

In France, it rains a lot in winter, but the issue is that the rain is very heavy. Due to the strong wind, the umbrellas quickly turn upside down.

There is a belief in France that if you open an umbrella indoors, misfortune will come to you. There are many such superstitions in France, which is why people there do not use umbrellas.

I used to think France was foolish for not using umbrellas. However, France has its own reasons, and now I empathize with their choice.
