At November 28, in school, we have a flea market at 5 floor auditorium. The time is 1class~4class. We planed to sale the dolls. And our member is me, Lee-Yeso, One-Chaekyo. But Joe-Yebin and Kim-Hayun wants to join us so Yeso and Chaekyo agreed (I am not!). Anyway, Yebin and Hayun wants A team so they buy first, then at changing time, Chaekyo, Yeso and I are going to buy (We are B team!). Any way I'm very exciting! Ha.. I think there will plenty type of things there.

A Type 4 Sentence has a subject, a verb, an indirect object, and a direct object. This type of sentence shows who is receiving something and what is being given.

Examples

I give her a gift.
- I (subject) + give (verb) + her (indirect object) + a gift (direct object)
They send me a letter.
- They + send + me + a letter
She told him a story.
- She + told + him + a story

Features

Two Objects: There is an indirect object (the person receiving something) and a direct object (the thing being given).
Clear Action: It shows who is doing the action, who is receiving the action, and what the action is directed toward.

Compare with Other Sentence Types

Type 1: Subject + Verb
- Example: I run.
Type 2: Subject + Verb + Complement
- Example: She is happy.
Type 3: Subject + Verb + Object
- Example: I eat an apple.
Type 4: Subject + Verb + Indirect Object + Direct Object
- Example: I give her a gift.

A Type 5 Sentence has a subject, a verb, an object, and an object complement. The object complement gives more information about the object.

Examples

They elected him president.
- They (subject) + elected (verb) + him (object) + president (object complement)
We named the dog Buddy.
- We + named + the dog + Buddy
She considers him a friend.
- She + considers + him + a friend

Features

Four Parts: The sentence has a subject, verb, object, and object complement.
Describes the Object: The object complement gives more information about the object, like renaming it or describing its state.
